Here is our story of welcoming our sweet MACY LOUISE!
Well, nothing ever runs smoothly, but it sure does make for some good memories and fabulous adventurers.
Wednesday, January 12, I woke up and felt like maybe, just maybe this was the day. They finally (after some serious convincing the following day) decided to start me on the following Saturday morning at 5 AM, which was fine since I had been in labor and dilated at a 3 for 6 weeks--it was time for her to come! I was excited because my mom would be here (she was flying in Thursday) and I could still make the trip to Utah if she came on Saturday! I was very happy! Jake wanted so badly for me to have her on Wedensday, we tried everything to get her here so he didn't have to go to an all day seminar for work that he didn't want to go to, the only way to get out of it was for me to have this baby! But hey, I did have her on WEDNESDAY like he wanted! Just a PM time instead of an AM time. Ha ha!
Anyway, Wendesday I cleaned, did last minute laundry and got things organized and put together. When Jake got home we decided to go out and do some curb galloping and walking. We galloped, or should I say I galloped, while the kids crashed Walmart shopping carts into each other in the back parking lot of Walmart. It was quite commical if anyone saw us. We walked home and had dinner, that is when some good and strong contractions started. I timed them while we ate and they were 2 minutes apart. I told Jake that maybe this was the night. I cleaned up dinner and saw a small pile of ironing I wanted to get done, so I started ironing. I called my mom and said "I guess it is too late to catch that 8 PM flight tonight huh?" It was 7:49 PM, She said "Why are you in labor?" I told her I didn't know but my contractions were two minutes apart and really strong. She was flying in the next afternoon. We chatted for a quick minute and then I hung up the phone and told Jake I was gonna finish theses few shirts and then I was gonna shower and head to the hospital. I took one step to the counter to put my phone down and that is when my water broke. I quickly said "Jake my water broke, get the kids ready!" I called my mom back and said "ummm, she's coming, my water just broke. " We both felt bad she wasn't there. But it worked out great with her coming the next day. I ran to the shower and shaved my legs and cleaned up, while breathing through some good hard contractions, I called my friend Connie while I was in the shower shaving, and asked her to meet me at the hospital to take my kids for the night. She is fabulous, and the kids had a ball staying with Connie and her cute family.
It was so fun to see the kids running and jumping around the house while I was getting ready and things in the car. Kaiden kept on asking what he could do to help, and what else?! He was so cute. Mags and Kaids were jumping around saying "the baby is coming--Macy is coming" I will always remember the moments before we got to the hospital with my kids. I loved seeing the excitement on their faces.
We pulled into the hospital and I went to the registration office, where I was pre registered and they said they were COMPLETELY FULL. There was NO ROOM for me! AWWW! WHAT?!?! I couldn't believe it. They said they would try to find me a room and to wait in the waiting room. So, we did! for 45 minutes while my contractions were about 1 minute apart. I finally told the lady at the front desk that when I do get a room I need the anesthesiologist waiting for me in the room, cause I was ready for my epidural!!! She said "are you serious?!" I said YES! She hurried and got me into a room! ha ha!
They were only able to take me to a triage room, and I was there for about 30 minutes until they found a delivery room for me, which I stayed in all night and all the next day, because there wasn't any postpartum room avalible. It was crazy, and not the best hospital stay I have ever had. It was crazy--that is the best word I can use to describe the days spent there. CRAZY! But it all worked out just fine! :) They finally moved me into a delivery room, I got my epidural, which Jake disappeared for with out letting me know :) But he does get sick around needles. After I got my epidural I had her literally minutes later. It went fast!

Jake went and got my mom Thursday afternoon and we hung out at the hospital for a while, then she took them home. I love having her here. My kids are in heaven!
It says baby girl Samuelson because it took me until the time we got discharged to decide on a name.
Finally they moved me into a POSTPARTUM room, I got to stay there for a few hours--ha ha!!
Right before we left on Friday they made me make a decision on her name, this is me filling out the birth certificate information. It's official, no more Baby Girl Samuelson, Macy Louise it is!
I LOVE THIS LITTLE GAL SOOOO MUCH. She is so sweet.

Tiny thing! She came home at 5 lbs!
Well, that is her story. We are so happy she is here safe and sound, we are also SOOOO grateful she came when she did, she is super small and having her early with all my pre term labor stuff would of been a bit scary. We are so thankful she is healthy!
Her middle name is Louise which is my grandmothers middle name and it is also Jake's grandmothers middle name--we thought it was a great fit--and Macy is just a cute name! :)
She is a perfect little baby. She has been my best yet. She sleeps for 6 hours at night, followed by another 4 hour stretch. She eats so well. Eating well, and sleeping well makes all the difference.
My kids LOVE their new sister. Maggie calls her "THAT BABY", it is funny! Kaiden loves to give her kisses, and Maggie loves to hold her. They are fabulous with her, I don't feel nervous with them around Macy one bit. They are soft and sweet, and luckily Macy doesn't' mind the attention.
I feel fabulous. I almost feel silly having my mom here because I feel so well.
My mom has been amazing. She has been here all week and will be here next week too. She has been so great with Kaiden and Maggie, she keeps them occupied...or should I say they keep her very busy! It has been a great break for me. I am able to hold my new Love and get the rest that I need. I am so grateful for her! We are going to miss her a lot for a whole few days before we fly to Utah to come stay with her for 2 weeks. Yay!
(I will post all the pictures that my fabulous photographer took here soon! They are amazing!)
