{UPDATE}
Here is a update on all of us:
Jake:
He is kicking butt at work. He is ranked #10 in his region. That is pretty impressive as a new employee! I am so proud of him. He is just trying to get into a good schedule, juggling family, running his own business, moving to a new area, and getting organized in a new job. He works so hard. He is such a good dad and husband but most of all a fabulous friend. Moving out here has really brought us closer in so many ways. We feel really blessed. No calling in the ward yet, maybe we can sneak by for a little bit with out one. Our ward is fabulous. Great people, and lots of younger families! We are both excited to get to know them all better. We didn't however get out of a speaking assignment--this Sunday, BLAH! :)
Jana:
I finally feel in control of my life in so many ways. Our family is on a wonderful schedule. We are finally having a sit down dinner every night at 5:30 PM, we have scripture study, prayers, story-time and bath-time every night with the kids in bed at 7:30 sharp. I LOVE it, and the kids really have taken to a set schedule as well. I can finally see our family thriving. I cook a lot more now and am really enjoying it. Sunday dinners are fun, I try new things from magazines and I cook lots of side dishes, and dessert. It's our favorite meal day!
I have just started this last week working out again with a set schedule. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays I go to classes at the gym at 6:45AM (BodyCombat, yoga, BodyPump) and Monday and Wendnesdy nights I do Zumba at 8:45PM, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are cardio days or sleep in days. I feel so much better when I work out. I have gained so much weight this pregnancy, mainly because of situational things like moving and traveling. I love being able to eat better and workout. I am a lot happier mother and wife this way.
I have made a lot of new friends here. There are so many Saints and so many wonderful people it is very easy to fit in. Everyone is so happy and nice, I am saying EVERYONE! I love how freindly people are, it makes me want to be more friendly and not be so to myself all the time. It has been really good for me. Our ward has lots of wonderful gals in it, we have done several play groups, girls nights, and dessert nights. We really like our ward, other than the time 1:30 PM, we don't get home until 5 PM. My other good friends in Gilbert have been my saving Grace. They have helped me so much with so many things. I am so happy to live close to them finally. We all have a really good time together, even the husbands all like each other. I have also made another good friend that my new brother-in-law Nick introduced me to at their wedding. His best friend and his wife and 10 month old little girl just bought a house here in Arizona, which is super close to where we live. They are really great people. Jen and I have hung out a lot together and even had craft night one night when Jake was out of town. I feel really blessed to have such good friends.
Having the kids in bed at 7:30 PM gives me time to read, blog, scrapbook and do crafts and projects I have wanted to do but never found the time to do it. I am purchasing my own sewing machine for my birthday...I can't wait! Craft me, here I come!
I had a missionary experience this last week. I was not very smart and PRAYED for a missionary experience, I don't think I will do that again. (wink, wink) I met her at a park. She just moved here about a year ago, and I asked her why, she said that her and her husband were starting a church down the street. That is how it started, to make a long story short, I got ROASTED! I felt like I held my ground, but she roasted me! It sure did make me realize that I need to study the gospel more. The best I could do was bare testimony of what I know in my heart. She asked so many hard questions, it really was kinda scary. So, now I am going to study more and not pray for those experiences! ha ha!
Kaiden:
Kaid has made new friends here and starts preschool on Monday. He will go M/W/F for 2.5 hours. I am excited for him. In November he starts a ball class, where he learns about all kinds of different sports. I think he will do really well and enjoy being out with other boys. We still struggle in our ward and neighborhood with other little 4 year old boys. He is consistently surround by girls. I feel bad for him.
He has done well with the move, he has had a few moments this last week, but we are working through them. He is sweet and loves to help me around the house and with chores. He is very excited about this new baby, wishes she was really a boy, but still excited. He is going to make a great big brother to her!
Maggie:
Do I dare say, SHE IS POTTY TRAINED! YAY! She has done really well. We are proud of this new development in our house. One morning she woke up (I still put her in a diaper at night, just in case) and she went up to Jake holding a new, clean pair of princess underwear, and said "WOOK DADA! THEY ALL DRY!" She was still wearing her diaper but holding up her clean pair of underware! It was so silly, we love the things this girl says and does. She is pure entertainment. She loves church and all her play groups. She starts a Cheerleading class in a few weeks. She is our little wild spirit, dancer girl, and we think she will love it. I can't wait to see her and see her Pep Rally in several weeks.
Baby NO NAME:
She is a girl, again verified at my last appointment by the doctor. I am so excited, and so is the rest of the family. I can't wait to meet her. We do have one problem, we can't find a name we both like. We talk about it everyday, and still NOTHING. I honestly believe she will be a "no name baby" or "baby girl Samuelson" when she comes home in January. I am hoping I only have 10 more weeks left, if she is anything like my last kids she will be here a bit early--so I am hoping it is only about 10 weeks away. I have lots to do before then, and it will go by fast with the Holidays! I think it would be awesome to have her on my dad's birthday January 5th. I guess we will see! She is doing great, she is active and growing! I feel fine, other than I have been so tired. More tired than any other pregnancy. I can't seem to get my thyroid in check, and I know that is throwing me off. I am so uncomfortable at night, I swear I grown twice my size by bed time. I like my new OB a lot. He is LDS and very good, he also delivers in a brand new hospital right by our house, that I am super excited about. Come soon baby girl, we want to meet you!
HOUSE:
We live in Mesa, a couple street North of Gilbert, so we have the best of both cities. Our home is decent. It is small, but we are going to make it work. We have no contract,and no security deposit, and rent is cheap. I don't love the neighborhood and area, but I love our ward. Two houses down is a big park that we go to almost everyday. We feel good about our decision to not buy, and stay here for awhile until we figure out what and where we want to be. When we moved in the house was so disgusting. For those of you that know me, I am OCD about cleanliness, not just clutter, but deep clean cleanliness. This home was not even vacuumed when we moved in, lots of nasty stuff everywhere. I spent hours just trying to clean it enough before the trailer with all our stuff got here. I asked the broker before we moved in if the house ever had pets in it, he assured me NO! But that day when I showed up Maggie was sitting on the floor and came to me with a huge wad of hair and said look mom! It was nasty. BIG DOGS! Lots of hair. I vacuum once a day and still am picking up dog hair. It grosses me out. Dog saliva all over the walls and doors, nastyness! I bleached the whole house. It is super clean! I was extremely disappointed. We also had an infestation of FLEAS the first month we were here. It was awful. The bug terminator came yesterday again, and we are 100% flea free, finally! Even though this was not fun, we feel blessed to have found this home, and will make it our home and make the best of it while we are here.
{Each week we I take the kids somewhere fun and new, this week we went to the Dinosaur Museum with some of our Gilbert friends}
