{LET THE COOKING BEGIN}

{Tuesday and Wednesday I spent all day cooking and cleaning. I wasn't sure if I was going to really enjoy it or not. I haven't really ever done anything like this before, but I put on some music and enjoyed every minute of it. I was so proud of myself for cooking my own Turkey this year. I was very nervous it wouldn't turn out, but it was amazing. I marinated it all day Tuesday and then cooked it all day Wednesday--I then carved it and it sat in it juice/marinade until the next day---seriously the BEST and most FLAVORFUL Turkey EVER. It wasn't very traditional, but it was SOOOOO good and I loved that I did it ahead of time, no cooking and carving on THANKSGIVING, it made the day so much more enjoyable. I did most of the cooking and baking days before so Thankgiving day was a stress free breeze!} {Maggie loves to help me clean, I really appreciate her help. She does a great job!}

  1. yuck! I'm impressed you 'gutted' the turkey. I don't think i'll ever be able to do it. I hear the insides are cold...blah. Cute apron!
