{DOMESTIC}

I got a sewing machine for my birthday. I can't tell you enough how much I LOVE it. Who would of thought I would love to sew? I am addicted...I actually had to put it away after I finished theses projects, to focus on the kids and other important things! he he! I am not a great sewer by any means, but I sure do love experimenting and learning new things.
Here are a few of my projects I have been working on the last 2 weeks:

Baby car seat canopy/cover
Receiving blankets for the new bebe
This is a gift set I made. I know so many people having babies right now. This include 3 applique onesies, a receiving blanket and a matching burp cloth.  They were my very first projects! LOVE!

I was having some serious trouble finding some cute preemie tops for the 'little thing' so I decided to embellish some tiny onesies, they turned out pretty cute--so much better than a plain white onesie--and so girly too!! Theses ones are not quite finished yet..but hopefully by tomorrow they will be. Cute huh!
 Here are some I have finished.
I hired a photographer to take some family photos at the end of January. One of my goals before I have this little one is to have all of our outfits together.  I have been looking high and low for a very tiny cream colored sweater for the bebe to wear, but was not able to find ANYTHING. I came across this darling little WHITE preemie sweater and decided that I would dye it cream. Wanna know how I did it? I soaked it in Chamomile Tea for 24 hours! It turned out perfect. I also did it with a few of her tiny onesies. It is so hard to find things in CREAM. So, even though I didn't sew this, I thought it was a cool project to share. I can't wait for family pictures, they are going to be darling! I will be sending out New Years/Valentines cards this year instead of Christmas cards because we wanted to include the "little miss".  Send me your address! :)
This is my favorite project so far. I used all my scraps to make this quilt. I threw it together in about an hour. But it turned out kinda cute, it is funky and fun and SOOO unique! I can't wait to wrap this little girl in it!
Front and back!
