Well, Thanksgiving day was a hit but so was the rest of the week with my family--here is what we did... (wish I would of taken more pictures of everyone and everything we did)
Saturday the boys took off to our friends place Jared and Jen Christensen's to watch the BYU vs. UT game--BOYS ONLY! The girls were great with that because we went shopping all day! We had a lot of fun and found some fabulous deals.Nothing like retail therapy!! :)
That night we were going to go to the Zoo lights at the Phoenix Zoo, but opted to stay home and veg and watch some movies. It was lots of fun, and a good relaxing night.
Sunday I turned 27! I feel so old, and kinda wished it just kinda passes by. Thank goodness lots was going on so there wasn't a lot of attention on me getting older. I made yummy Amish Oatmeal for breakfast--my fav! I opened presents. Jake got me a sewing machine. I have wanted one since I moved away from my mom. I was SOOOOOOOO excited. I can't wait to use it. I have several projects lined up...now if I can find the time to do them!!! :) My mom bought some pastries that we put candles in, I have to say Jake dropped the bomb on not getting me a piece of white butter-creamed frosted cake--I told him he needed to find a bakery that was fabulous and all I wanted was 1 piece--didn't happen, and I am still on the search to find my bday cake! :) If only there was a DICK'S Bakery around here! :) We all went to church, we came home, I made Spaghetti and then we took off to see the Mesa Temple Lights. They were AMAZING! I like them better than SLC Temple lights. They were really awesome! We then headed home and watched some movies. Great day!

Monday, my parents, Nick, Kell, and Scotty went back up to Phoenix to Last Chance...again and again! Scotty was OBSESSED with finding a pair of True Religion jeans. I opted not to go since it would of been my 4th time that week going. I stayed home and got the house cleaned and laundry done and played with the kids. They returned later that afternoon and then we headed to the NFL game in Glendale, Cardinals vs. San Fransisco 49ers. It was not a good game, AZ isn't very good. But our seats and the experience was amazing. We had a great time. We were on the 40 yrd line and 25 rows up. It was an awesome night.

Tuesday morning the family packed up and left and we returned to normal life here in AZ. When my family left I cried and cried. I was blaming it on the hormones to Jake and my kids, but it was the first time I cried since I have moved due to missing my family. 15 weeks with dry eyes--that is pretty good. It really made me miss them and appreciate all they do. It isn't cheap to host a Thanksgiving (or dinner guests), and my mom does that kind of stuff ALL THE TIME with more lavish food and decor. I never appreciated it enough! It was quite an eye opener to me! We LOVED every minute we had with my family and hope to do it all again SOON. We really realized how much they mean to us and how much we miss not being around family. The week went by too quickly!! C-O-M-E B-A-C-K!!!
jana...your just so cute..i miss you!
